Bedtime Routine (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

This challenge has got me seeing everything as a potential subject.  After struggling with some shots of some textured toothbrush handles, I opted for this one of my son’s Waterpik, another part of his bedtime routine.  I took some others as well, but after careful consideration this one made the cut.  Taken with my iPhone 5S.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 2: Macro.

  1. Having an iPhone with me almost all the time has been great for taking photos like this. There are potential photos everywhere and if you don’t like the way they turn out, just press “Delete” or the trash can. Cool photo.

  2. I really like your take on the macro here. It got me thinking — what is that?! I’m used to seeing (and taking) macro shots of nature (flowers, mostly). I think I’ll take your cue and look for other objects for future challenges.

    1. Glad I could give you an alternative to think about. That’s what Sally does for me. Did you see the one she did with spices? I loved it!

  3. I absolutely agree that the challenges of finding different kinds of subjects to photograph really does inspire to see things differently. I never would have guessed this one. And it is a super macro. Great one!
