Snow Day (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

Snow Day

It has been sleeting and snowing since late Sunday night (pre-dawn Monday). I snapped this from my front porch. The cold never bothered me anyway… from inside.

Taken with my iPhone 5S, using Mono filter. Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 3: Black & White.

Keyboard (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

I’ve been spending more time at my keyboard(s) lately, so it ended up being my subject for this week. (I took some other shots that I have decided to save for another post.)

I liked these two because of the texture and shadow. The first is the power button. The second shot is of the left and right-click for the power stick.

I just never know what I’m going to be snapping a photo of next!

It’s been 5 months since I posted a Phoneography Challenge photo.

Since I have an agreement to compose a handwritten note every day this year, my pen seemed the logical subject.

I particularly like the contrasts in the various parts of the pen in macro.

More Photos Monday!

Beads (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

Beads 2

BeadsThese small beads are on a pair of earrings.  The texture of the table cloth was an added surprise.  Focus was a problem, but I decided to use these because the reflection from the plastic almost makes the beads look painted rather than photographed.  I also liked the streaks of light in the top photo.  Taken with my iPhone 5S.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 2: Macro.

Tomatoes (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

Tomatoes

This photo was taken with my iPhone 5S. The tomatoes are from my garden. There is an art to growing things, and then there is something else about making them into a work of art. Both are gratifying.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 4: Challenger’s Choice – Still Life.
