Workspace (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

This was taken with my iPhone 5S, using the Noir filter.  It is actually the work space in my bedroom.  Black & White is my favorite week of the challenge, and I particularly like the stark contrast between the ultrabook and the headphones.  I like the light reflected from the water bottle  and the edges of the keys as well.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 3: Black & White.

Tertiary (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

TertiaryThese tertiary colors came from a box of my son’s crayons.  You can just see a bit of green in the upper right corner.  I particularly like being able to see the fibers in the paper and the pits in the wax.  Taken with my iPhone 5S.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 2: Macro.

Stormy Monday (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

It is actually quite sunny here today. This was taken last week with my iPhone 5S, using the Noir filter. Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 3: Black & White. I liked the gradation in value from the light sky above and the dark pavement below, as well as the transition from the painterly quality at the top to the stark line at the bottom.

Reflection Time (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

Reflection Time

Taken with my iPhone 5S, using Tonal filter.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 3: Black & White.  I think Black & White is one of my favorite weeks of the challenge.  I love the way shiny things looks in black and white, so I thought I would capture my watch and earrings on my mirrored tray to see what I would get.  I am pleased with the way it turned out, especially the way the light just kisses the edges of things.

Bedtime Routine (Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge)

Tubing on my son’s Waterpik.

This challenge has got me seeing everything as a potential subject.  After struggling with some shots of some textured toothbrush handles, I opted for this one of my son’s Waterpik, another part of his bedtime routine.  I took some others as well, but after careful consideration this one made the cut.  Taken with my iPhone 5S.  Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge, Week 2: Macro.
